Preparation time: in total approx. 20 minutes in total Servings: 4 little portions
Ingredients:
60 g soft butter
40 g sugar
1 packet of vanilla sugar
1 pinch of salt
1 large egg
140 g flour
1 pinch of baking soda
100 ml milk
5 tbsp mineral water
Oil for the waffle iron
1/2 glass of shade morels with juice
1 tsp cornstarch
1 pinch of vanilla sugar
1 pinch of cinnamon
1 tsp amaretto (almond liqueur)
50 ml whipped cream
Icing sugar at will
Preparation:
Separate the egg. Beat the egg whites until stiff. Cream the butter with the sugar, vanilla sugar and salt. Stir in the egg yolk until the sugar has melted. Mix the flour with the baking powder and add to the batter alternately with the milk.
Mix everything together until creamy. Stir in the water. Carefully fold in the egg whites. Heat the waffle iron and brush with a little oil. Bake golden yellow waffles with the batter.
While the waffles are heating up and baking, prepare the cherries. To do this, heat the drained cherries with a little juice in a saucepan. Stir in the starch and bring everything to the boil briefly so that the starch binds. Season to taste with vanilla sugar, cinnamon and Amaretto.
Whip the cream until stiff. Divide the hot waffles into hearts. Serve with amaretto cherries and a blob of cream. Sprinkle the cream with cinnamon. Dust the waffles with icing sugar if desired.
